Check your foundation

  • Building on sand does not work because it shifts and changes. Without a firm foundation, any building will eventually lose its structural integrity and fall. It is inevitable.

Life works the same way and what we build our life on matters. Feelings shift and change; God and His unfailing promises do not.

How do you know whether you are building your life on your feelings or God's integrity? Here's a test:

When something unexpected happens or something goes wrong, what do you think about first: how you feel or what God said?

God did this so that, by two unchangeable things in which it is impossible for God to lie, we who have fled to take hold of the hope offered to us may be greatly encouraged. We have this hope as an anchor for the soul, firm and secure. It enters the inner sanctuary behind the curtain, where Jesus, who went before us, has entered on our behalf. He has become a high priest forever, in the order of Melchizedek. (Heb 6:18-20 NIV)
