A New Year

  • Ever wondered why Jan. 1 feels different than Dec. 31? It is just another day, but...  it gives us a reference point to regroup, to reevaluate, and to put the past behind us and make changes that will move us forward in our lives.

"It is all in our minds", sure, but then, that is where decisions are made. It is sort of a "mind game", but an appropriate one.

I hope you will join me in the decision to do whatever is necessary to grow to a new level of relationship with God in this new year.

That same day two of them were walking to the village Emmaus, about seven miles out of Jerusalem. They were deep in conversation, going over all these things that had happened. In the middle of their talk and questions, Jesus came up and walked along with them. But they were not able to recognize who he was. He asked, "What's this you're discussing so intently as you walk along?" They just stood there, long-faced, like they had lost their best friend. (Luk 24:13-17 MSG)
