Trust

  • Trusting in God and His word does not mean that difficult circumstances will become easy, that painful things will no longer hurt, or that everything we do will have apparent success and immediate gratification.

It does mean that through trust in God and His unfailing promises, we can survive difficulties, come out of them wiser, better, stronger, and more mature, and that regardless of how something looks in the short-term, God can turn it to our good in the end.

To me, that is real success. (Don't just take my word for it; it's all there in the book.)

Happy are those who reject the advice of evil people, who do not follow the example of sinners or join those who have no use for God. Instead, they find joy in obeying the Law of the LORD, and they study it day and night. They are like trees that grow beside a stream, that bear fruit at the right time, and whose leaves do not dry up. They succeed in everything they do. (Psa 1:1-3 GNB)
