Disappointments

Has anyone disappointed you, failed you, or hurt you? (A survey
would likely yield a 100% "Yes." response.)

It hurts when someone we love or respect does not live up to their
promise or confession. Sometimes the problem is their integrity;
other times, it is our expectation or idealization of them.

Either way, their failure makes the distinction of God's
faithfulness greater. He is the only One whose integrity will not
fail. Not in this life. Not in the next.

And either way, do not let disappointment in another person's
failure damage your relationship with the One who will never fail.

  To the pure, all things are pure, but to those who are corrupted and
  do not believe, nothing is pure. In fact, both their minds and
  consciences are corrupted. They claim to know God, but by their
  actions they deny him. They are detestable, disobedient and unfit
  for doing anything good. (Titus 1:15-16 NIV)
