Think about it!

  • How many good things have I missed because I did not follow God's instruction? How many problems could I have avoided? Only He knows for certain, but I know there have many of both. Perhaps for you too?

God's message to Joseph probably sounded extreme to him. Regardless, he put his thoughts and feelings aside and obeyed God.

We may not see an angel as he did, but God still speaks in various ways. And He really is always right--and I do not say that lightly: It took time and a lot of hard knocks, but I finally learned that He is ALWAYS right, no exceptions.

This is how the birth of Jesus Christ came about: His mother Mary was pledged to be married to Joseph, but before they came together, she was found to be with child through the Holy Spirit. Because Joseph her husband was a righteous man and did not want to expose her to public disgrace, he had in mind to divorce her quietly. But after he had considered this, an angel of the Lord appeared to him in a dream and said, "Joseph son of David, do not be afraid to take Mary home as your wife, because what is conceived in her is from the Holy Spirit. (Mat 1:18-20 NIV)
