I believe our relationship with God works like this: He has a purpose for us: a calling, a commission, or a task. He does not require us to produce the results. He only requires us to believe Him and do what He asks in faith.
What my grandfather did: Sowed seed and trusted the process.
What we should do: Obey God and trust the results to Him.
Whoever watches the wind will not plant; whoever looks at the clouds will not reap. Sow your seed in the morning, and at evening let not your hands be idle, for you do not know which will succeed, whether this or that, or whether both will do equally well. (Eccl 11:4, 6 NIV)
